Larry Jusdanis is a seasoned Strength and Conditioning Coach with over 25 years of experience, committed to the development and success of athletes at every level. From professional football players in the NFL, CFL, and NCAA to young athletes just starting their journey, Larry has been a driving force behind thousands of success stories. As a former CFL quarterback, his expertise and firsthand experience in the game enable him to provide unparalleled guidance and mentorship.
Larry’s passion goes beyond coaching elite athletes—he is deeply dedicated to fostering the growth of football at the grassroots level. His vision includes providing young athletes with a safe, competitive environment through flag football programs that instill the essential skills necessary to thrive both on and off the field.
Larry founded Sports Specific Training Inc. (SST) and SST Sports Texas, a national strength and conditioning company that has become a leader in athlete development across North America. His innovative approach to training, which integrates functional strength techniques and cutting-edge equipment, has helped shape the careers of athletes at every level.
Larry’s specialized QB coaching program, QB Dawgs, has produced some of the nation’s top talent, including notable players like Nathan Rourke (BC Lions QB). Over the last five years, his program has developed four scholarship QBs, demonstrating his expertise in quarterback development.
Larry has served as the Head Coach of Clarkson Football North, the #1 high school football program in Canada, where he has helped over 50 players secure Division 1 scholarships in just five years. Under Larry’s leadership, Clarkson Football North competes against top-ranked U.S. teams, including IMG Academy and St. Frances Academy.
Designed and implemented a speed program for one of the top high school football programs in the U.S.
Developed personalized training programs for the Argonauts, leading a team of 60 players through specific workouts tailored to their positions.
Collaborated with the head coach and general manager to create and oversee in-season conditioning programs for the Hamilton Tiger Cats, focusing on game-day readiness.
Assisted in the design and execution of the Browns' off-season speed and power program alongside their strength coach.
As a quarterback for the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Toronto Argonauts, Larry's professional playing career was marked by notable achievements. In 1995, he led the CFL in rookie passer rating and remains the only Canadian quarterback to have attended the prestigious NFL Scouting Combine. His experience as a player provides him with unique insights into the physical and mental demands of the game, which he now passes on to the athletes he coaches.
Larry’s commitment to football goes beyond physical training—he believes in the power of the game to build character, teamwork, and resilience in young athletes. His programs not only help athletes achieve their immediate goals but also prepare them for success beyond the sport. Through his work with flag football programs in Montgomery/ Magnolia Texas and youth leagues, Larry continues to create opportunities for young players to excel in a safe, structured, and competitive environment.
